🎉 Our Monthly Dance Studio News is Here!
Your November news is only a few days late!!! We have been so busy dancing then throw in annual leave, injuries, season illnesses and it seems time has been slipping away but here we are fighting fit and bringing some awesome opportunities your way this month. Before we get to the fun stuff...a gentle nudge to our teaching assistants that you have assignments due by THIS Saturday! ;-)
Firstly, we would like to congratulate all our dancers who took part in Chance to Dance this yeqr. You were all awesome on stage and as usual a credit to the studio on how you conducted yourselves backstage
We also want to thank all our amazing and generous volunteers who helped backstage, many of you do not even have children who dance at the studio so giving up your Sunday to help in a super long day is incredibble and demonstrates what an wonderful family DanSci dancers really are. With a truely heartfelt thank you to you all. xx
Gosh can you believe how fast this year has flown?! We are busy making our Christmas social preprations for the festive party of the year not to be missed!! This does mean it is also time for the End of Year DanSci Awards! Who will be our stars takig hoe a trophy tfor 2023?
As always this is across the entire DanSci family of youth, adult and familiy members. It does mean however, that our 2022 winners do need to return their trophies please. If you could have them all safely back to reception by the 1st of December that woukld be great.
We will annouce the date as soon as confirmed and it would be wonderful if as in past years our current trophy holders are availbe to present to new awards out
Speaking of Christmas we're super excited about babyballet lLilbeatz Christmas showcase will be happening at the Cygnet Theatre on the 17th December ...... Choreography is already underway! We have had a few people miss the enrolement form via email so please complete ASAP if you have not already Complete form
Before we worry about those Christmas celebrations though we must not forget this months activites! We are proud to y
et again be supporting Children in Need. This year we are asking all our babygallet dancers (and grown uos if you fancy, it makes getting out of the house easier!) to dance in PJs to all their classes from Saturday 11th - Friday 17th
We had so much fun in last months Adult beginner ballet workshop that we qare running another!! Come along this Saturday to learn, twirl and set yourself up for a wonderful afternoon of beautiful dance
Ballet is the perfect discipline to develop posture, alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination and grace. Experience the benefits of ballet in an encouraging and non-competitive environment for adults and mature studnents over 15 years old. If you are new to Ballet then our Ballet 101 workshop is the perfect way to start your journey. This class is designed for the absolute beginner or those seeking to refresh their skills. Learn the fundamental positions, basic techniques, and terminology of classical ballet. Book a space
Ballet terminology will be explained and demystified. The classes will cover barre work, centre practice, allegro (jumps), pirouettes (turns) and some choreographed phrases.
No dance experience is necessary and exercises can be modified for all fitness levels. Participants may wear a leotard and tights or comfortable fitness apparel along with ballet shoes or socks.
ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS BALLET WORKSHOP CONTENTS
Exact course content may differ depending on the duration of the course, individual needs and those of the group. However, topics covered will generally include:
Establish basic ballet vocabulary and the purpose of each exercise
Develop strength, flexibility and better posture
Improve coordination
Broaden awareness of the body in space
Put techniques into practice by mastering simple choreographic phrases
You will be given friendly feedback and support from Miss Helena throughout the course.
We're also supe5r excited to annouce the launch of brand new Musical Theatre weekly adult beginner classes. Our current Wednesday and Friday sessions have proved so popular we want to open this genre up to more aspiring dancers. The current classes will become closed company classes while they prepare for their upcoming showcase in January. We can't wait to see it BOOK A CLASS HERE

Congratulations to all our youth dancers recieving the achievement board this month. We have been blown away by everyones dedication and hard work in classes. Well Done!
