From dancer to role model

Start your journey as a Future Dance Teacher at DanSci

For dancers aged 11+ who are ready to build confidence, develop leadership skills and gain real experience supporting younger dancers in the studio.

At DanSci, we believe dance builds much more than technique. It gives young people the chance to grow in confidence, take responsibility, support others and discover what they are capable of.

The Future Dance Teachers Programme gives dedicated dancers a clear, enjoyable pathway into class assisting, leadership and the foundations of dance teaching. It is designed to help students become encouraging role models within our studio while gaining valuable skills they can carry into school, further education, auditions, employment and life beyond dance.

Students do not need to be the “best” dancer in the room. We look for dancers who are ready to learn, show commitment, set a positive example and take their next step within the DanSci community.

How it works

No homework. No written exam pressure. Just practical learning, guided experience and steady confidence-building.

Future Dance Teachers is designed as a progressive four-level journey. Each level builds on the skills, knowledge and confidence developed in the one before, helping dancers move from enthusiastic assistant to capable, inspiring young leader.

Designed to fit around busy family life

The programme runs over 10 months, with four dedicated training sessions and a manageable weekly class-assisting commitment. Learning is completed during studio time, meaning there is no additional homework to fit around school and other activities

Future Dance Teachers provides a safe, structured and encouraging environment in which young people can develop skills that matter far beyond the dance studio.

Alongside their technical dance training, students learn how to communicate clearly, work as part of a team, be reliable, support younger children and take pride in being a positive role model. These are meaningful transferable skills that can support future college applications, auditions, CVs and first-job applications.
