The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is currently in the process of talking to leadership figures from across the nation in an attempt to understand this universal trait and what it means in Britain and Northern Ireland today.

Ava Thomas from Dan Sci Dance Studio was invited onto an episode of the podcast, which also included an interview with Lord Blunkett. Host Matthew O'Neill asked both guests a series of questions about leadership and the role it has played in their careers to date.

Ava said, I was delighted to be involved in this podcast and hope it is listened to as widely as possible. With the current situation with Covid-19 it is great to share that we have an optimistic and positive business outlook for our local community.'

Matthew O'Neill commented, ‘Hosting a show like this, where you speak to genuine leaders who have been there and done it, either on a national stage or within a crucial industry sector, is an absolute honour.’

Lord Blunkett, chairman of The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland said, ‘I think the most informative element of each episode is the first part, where Matthew O'Neill is able to sit down with someone who really gets how their industry works and knows how to make their organisation tick.

Someone who’s there day in day out working hard and inspiring others. That’s what leadership is all about.’

Youngsters from DanSci Dance Studio, Exeter aged 7-14 were super excited to have been invited to perform in the tour during half term at Exmouth Pavilions. They have spent the past couple of months training weekly in addition to their usual dance classes to perfect their 80’s routine which includes an exciting hip-hop ‘dance off’ with heart-throb Jake Quickenden!

Dance To The Music first and only dance show in the UK to portray the evolution of dance through musical eras and genres from the roaring 20s with the Charleston and Tap dances, moving through every decade of dance and finishing with modern day Ballroom and Latin. All sequences are linked by a clever light-hearted script with plenty of humour and anecdotes revealing the fun facts of showbiz life.

Miss Ava says “It’s absolutely awesome to have such fantastic professional dancers coming to Devon but to also become part of the community and invite youngsters from local schools to join their team is such a privilege. Our dancers are ecstatic and have been working really hard to be the best they can be. They had a great time meeting the professional dancers and sharing the stage. This was such a great opportunity for them.”

The performance excitement doesn't end there! The team have been invited to perform both their upbeat 80s Hip Hop number and a more serious piece exploring the effects if bullying at school at the South West's Spring forward arts event next week. This is such a fantastic opportunity for the young dancers to show their diversity as well as get to perform in a professional environment.

We wish the team the best of luck. Super proud of them and how they are growing as mature dancers through the season.

Dance To The Music is a sumptuously beautiful, glamorous dance show created, directed, choreographed and starring ex Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff. Kristina is excited to tour the show with even more fabulous costumes, stunning vocals and breath-taking choreography. Hosted by Jake Quickenden who first found fame on the X Factor, I’m A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice and an exciting troupe of dancers featuring South African Dancing With The Stars professionals, Marcella Solimeo & Dylon Daniels, this promises to be an evening not to be missed.
